We wish to express our gratitude to the mayor of Lydney, Cllr Terry Glastonbury and his wife Angela together with the many civic dignitaries and the vast number of local folk from Lydney itself, the surrounding villages and beyond, covering the whole district that our hospital serves for attending our fete on Saturday.

We appreciate the involvement of so many volunteers including children and young people to contribute to the many activities on offer.

Generosity comes from every quarter, so often with the words "it's my pleasure", playing a part in the welfare of our hospital which is so precious to the community. We acknowledge the dedication of consultants, doctors, matron, nurses, staff and all others who provide the excellent services.

We think it very fitting at this time to quote the Three Musketeers: "All for one and one for all".

Thank you everyone. – Melville Watts, chairman, The Friends of Lydney Hospital.
