•This fine photo is in the family album. It was taken in 1911 in Cinderford by photographer SW Jenkins. These young Cinderford men were all 'pals' and dressed up for the occasion.

Some stayed in Cinderford and worked in the pits like my grandfather James Fox, who is third from the left in the front row with the dog. Others emigrated to North America and others were killed in the First World War. Names would be great if there is someone out there who can identify them. – John Belcher, Joyford.
