THE audiences at this year’s panto at Bishopswood Village Hall were left cracking up at the antics on stage.

The fifth of the village pantos was Humpty Dumpty and played to large audiences at the hall near Ross-on-Wye last week.

Villagers put on the panto every other year and the recent show featured Carole Pimblett as Humpty, her husband Barry as the Dame, Bob Puzey as the King and Jackie Phillips as the wicked Belladonna.

The show, which has a cast and crew of around 40, was directed by David Emerson.

They took over the hall about a week before the show began its run to allow sets to be built and other preparation works.

Spokesperson Monica Edmonds said: “We’ve had good audiences and it was a lot of fun.”
