A CATWALK show and vintage photo shoot were among the many things that attracted visitors to the first vintage fayre at Monmouth.

Nearly 500 visitors flocked to Monmouth's historic Shire Hall on Sunday (October 6) – much to the delight of organisers – to watch staff at the hall as well as volunteers 'strut their stuff' in stylish attire dating from the 1940s to the 1960s. Visitors could also experience a photo shoot with Betty Noir Photography.

"This event is a new adventure for us," said Amanda Peters, trustee and Chair of Vintage Vision, a social enterprise. "So we were very pleased with the turnout.

"We have run a number of highly successful fayres in Abergavenny. But Shire Hall is a different type of setting because there's not one big hall, but several different rooms for stall holders and our vintage cafe."

The next Vintage Vision event will be the open-air Chepstow Street Fayre and Fashion Show this Saturday (October 12) from 10am to 4pm. There will be stalls selling vintage clothes and accessories and vintage music playing. For more details call 07818168955 or visit http://www.vintagevision.co.uk">www.vintagevision.co.uk
