I WOULD like to thank all the people who helped me when I had a fall at Christchurch crossroads on the day of the Royal wedding.

I understand that two considerate drivers positioned their cars so that I and Lesley, who came to my aid, did not get run over.

Lesley, who was camping at Christchurch, did everything that could possibly be done until the ambulance arrived. She arranged that I didn't try to move and was kept warm until the professionals arrived. Not only that, she visited me the next day to see if I was OK.

I cannot fully express my gratitude to her. The ambulance crew checked me over and took me to our very own Dilke Hospital where I was attended to and 'glued up' with medical glue. All the professionals were very efficient and kind and I am most grateful to them and our splendid NHS.

Thank-you all very much.
