I WOULD like to express an alternative view concerning Asda and Cinderford. Would councillors consider the effect of so many empty premises on the High Street? How does an out of town supermarket help in this respect?
The Co-op is at least in town, and has served it well. Your spokesperson for Asda does not speak for me as I would welcome an alternative such as a small Waitrose, Marks etc to lift the area.
A selection of individual shops, as found in Monmouth, would further enhance an otherwise depressing view of the town.
Not everyone wishes to shout and march to air their views.
– High Street resident, Cinderford.
