I renewed my car tax in Lydney Post Office on Saturday just before they closed at 12.30pm. When I returned to my car to attach the new disc I noticed that it was date stamped 32 March!

As the post office in Lydney was then shut for the weekend I was not able to make them aware of their mistake until Monday morning, at which time Lydney post office informed me that they could not replace the disc. I have since contacted the DVLA direct and they are going to issue a replacement.

The reason I am writing in to the Review is that there were a lot of other people in the queue on Saturday and they too would have had the incorrect date stamped on their disc.

So I just wanted to make people aware and suggest, if you purchased car tax on Saturday in Lydney that you check your disc.
