THIEVES have stolen a 14th century wall tile from a display frame in St Mary's Church, Monmouth.

The tile was taken from the Whitecross Street building between 10am and 4pm on Sunday February 26, say police.

Featuring a medieval coat of arms, it is beige-coloured and has gold detailing around the edges.

Anyone with information on the theft, or anyone who saw anything suspicious, is asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
