CINDERFORD dad Andy Bendall wants to say thanks to everyone who contributed to the £2,065 sponsorship for his five-hour London marathon run in support of the Hope for Tomorrow charity.

Before the event he told the Review he wanted to go on the run because several close friends had suffered from cancer. Hope for Tomorrow funds a bus that brings chemotherapy to sufferers in remote parts of the Forest, saving them having to travel to Cheltenham.

"I would like to put a small follow-up article

in the Review thanking everyone who sponsored me as I managed to raise £2,065 and completed the course in five hours," he said.

It was Andy's first marathon and he had to wait five years for a place in the London event.
