ARE there any MPs who really care about the welfare of animals?
If so, it is time the laws were altered for the punishment to fit the crime (not only regarding animals).
A six-month suspended sentence and a ban on keeping animals for five years is ludicrous, yet Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court is pleased with the result with regard to the former Longhope butcher.
As tattoos are fashionable, this individual should have one on his forehead, where it can be seen at all times, saying: “animal, life ban” so it would not ever be possible to have animals anywhere near, especially dogs.
These beautiful, intelligent animals give us such pleasure, loyalty and companionship and they help so many individuals, for example guide dogs, and helping with daily activities for disabled people.
There is no need to keep animals and birds unless 100 per cent care can be given.
Child cruelty is also unfortunately prevalent so what about a ‘life ban’tattoo for them?
