GWENT Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a museum on Bridge Street in Chepstow.

The incident happened sometime between 5:45pm on July 10 and 8:50am the next day.

Police understand the offender/offenders gained entry via a back window by removing metal bars.

Taken from the premises was petty cash from the safe box.

If anyone was in the area during this time and saw anything suspicious call 101 quoting log number 142 July 11.
