GWENT police are appealing for information following an assault in Chepstow.

The offence happened on Sunday, October 30 between 1.30am and 2.30am, along Mount Pleasant Road, near to the junction of Bulwalk Road.

The male victim was approached by two males who then assaulted him leaving him with serious injuries.

Two local men have been arrested on suspicious of assault and have been bailed until February 17 2017.
