POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an elderly woman died in hospital following a collision on the A48 in Minsterworth over the weekend.
The crash happened shortly after 3.05pm on Saturday (February 16) and involved a green Daewoo Lanos and a grey Volkswagen Golf.
An 83-year-old Cheltenham woman who was driving the Lanos was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol with serious injuries and sadly died there in the early hours of Monday.
Three people who were in the Golf suffered minor injuries and were treated at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
The A48 remained closed until around 8.30pm on Saturday while a collision investigation took place.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is being urged to call 101, quoting incident 263 of February 16.
