A FOREST animal charity has welcomed a new ambulance purchased through fundraising and donations.

A Wild Life with Animals (AWLWA), based in Brierley, desperately needed a new van to transport injured animals to receive medical assistance.

Scott Passmore, who founded AWLWA in 2012, said: “Through diligent fundraising and kind donations, we now have a fully kitted out mobile animal ambulance (the first of many we hope).

“The ambulance replaces the old 4x4 we’ve had since launching. It is a massive step forward for the team enabling them to safely get larger roadside casualties the medical assistance they need.

“We would especially like to say a huge thank you to Graphics Shack and Image Signs and Print Ltd of Lydney who have kindly donated the sign writing for the van.
