CINDERFORD rocked once again last weekend, as the annual free music festival took place on the football ground.
The audience were treated not only to fine and warm weather, but they also had 63 acts split between three stages, over the Saturday and Sunday to choose from.
Saturday saw the SoundSpace outdoor stage play host to nine acts, with OCD taking a central role in rocking the town during the afternoon.
Meanwhile The Stagecoach Main Stage, again outdoors, saw a diverse lineup, that included folk and rock acts, as well as belly dancing, and a dance display from the Wyedean Kids, the evening headliner was Tripwire.
Indoors, on the Cinderford Town Council Stage, a more laid-back approach to the music produced some fine performances, particularly from singer/songwriter Jane Thomason and americana band Ghost Of A Dog. Sunday saw an equally impressive array of talent, with Ultimate Floyd and Toadstool providing a progressive element to the day, while The Beat Goes On, a Beatles tribute act, rounded off the weekend.
Outside, a selection of stalls provided shopping interests between acts, with handmade clothes and jewellery – and a colourful array of cup cakes.
Plans are well developed for the 2015 festival, where they plan to add a further performance area for young people, a Youth Stage, to introduce new talent.
