AROUND 135 people and their dogs took a stroll through the Forest to help Cancer Research.
The third ‘Bark for Life’ took a three-mile circular route, starting and finishing at the Speech House near Coleford and raised more than £2,000.
Cancer Research UK’s local fund-raising manager, Lynne Eagle, said: “We are celebrating the great outdoors, we’re celebrating life and we’re celebrating the love of our dogs.
“Cancer Research UK cannot perform its ground-breaking, life-saving research into all types of cancer without your support.”
The organising team of Lynne and Andrew Eagles, Paul Baylis, Julie Farr, Tess Tremlett, Julie Farr, Tom Ruddle and Hope Garner is known as “the kennel club”.
The walk was followed by home-made soup and cakes – and refreshments for the pets – and a mini dog show.
