POLICE are hunting two men who smashed up a car with baseball bats in the middle of the night earlier this month.

Officers in Lydbrook have appealed for residents in Joys Green to review any CCTV footage they have following the attack, just after 1am on Friday, July 6.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said: “A car which was parked in Joys Green was targeted by two men who caused damage to the windscreen, both passenger side windows and bonnet of the victim’s car.

“It’s believed that the two men who have previously been seen in a dark coloured Volkswagen Golf, hit the car with what is thought to have been baseball bats before running down the road.

“We are asking any residents with CCTV cameras to please check their footage and contact us if their cameras show the incident taking place.”
