AS I was once again reconstructing the grass verges that form the frontage of my property after yet another  visit by the latest unwanted Forest resident, namely the so-called wild boar,  I thought of the headline in the Review regarding the  opposition to the culling of the boar by Iolo Williams and his associates in the Sab the Boar Cull group.

Now I don't know  whether Iolo or any of his Sab the Boar followers  actually live in the Forest of Dean area and  are therefore directly  affected by the destruction that this animal causes.

If they are so passionate about its uninhibited survival,  which will inevitably  lead to yet more destruction to both the natural Forest and residents' property, I wondered if I could ask Iolo and the Sab the Boar  supporters  that  when they are  forming the groups to sabotage the forthcoming cull that they could also  have included in each group's remit that they are to confirm their passion for the animal to us the residents who are directly affected by the boars' presence by touring the Forest and  putting right the damage caused by the very animal they are so vigorously defending.

Obviously this work on behalf of us humans would  be on a free  of charge basis  just as their  efforts are for  an animal.
