WILD boar have been spotted in Lydney around the boating lake, sparking fears they could damage lawns and flower displays in the town's Bathurst Park – and of course suburban gardens.
Resident Jonathan Wadd said that damage had been spotted on the marshy area between the A48 and Harbour Road, a popular dog-walking area.
"There are about five places where the boar have been digging up ground, which has only happened in the last couple of days," said Jonathan.
"Dog walkers were wondering if the animals had come down the railway line from Parkend into Lydney."
