POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a school holiday attack on a 12-year-old boy in a town library.

The youngster was assaulted at about 2.45pm on Friday, July 28, when an older teenage boy kicked him in the groin at Coleford library.

The offender also lock­ed the younger boy’s bike in the toilets, although it was recovered later.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said: “Although this was now two months ago we hope that someone who was in the library at the time will remember what happened and confirm reports we have already had.

“We know that there were several people in and around the library at the time. If you were there, or have any information about the incident, we would like to hear from you.”
