AFTER reading recent exchanges in your newspaper regarding immigration, I wonder if Mr. Davies  and Mr. Timbrel would like to comment on a recent article in the Sunday Times which said that there were over 100,000 unemployed Brits at present residing in Germany, Holland and France  who are reluctant to return to these shores because welfare benefits  are much more generous in said countries  than they are  here.

Those interviewed also remarked that they experienced  a lot less hassle in obtaining such payments from the benefits office staff concerned  than is the case in this country. 

If this news story is accurate, for we hear much to the contrary from the likes of the Daily Mail,  perhaps your above contributors, who seem preoccupied by the subject  would have their worries eased by the fact that this country  may no longer be  "top of the list" for many would be future immigrants.
