FURTHER to a recent article by an ex resident of Coleford concerning the bid to evict the Bowls Club and in reply to the rant, the threat of eviction does not necessarily mean an enforced eviction will take place.

How do you know that Angus Buchanan turned down the skateboards, BMX and Berry Hill RFC? Unless you were a fly on the wall at meetings, you wouldn't know. That which you stated has to be proved. But it can't.

1: Berry Hill RFC. They approached Angus Buchanan in 2008. Angus Buchanan were in favour of their proposal to use the Carnival Field for a standby pitch for their juniors, and waited for the club to make arrangements. But they never came back.

2: BMX track. Angus Buchanan were approached about a plan for a competition track in April 2008. The committee looked carefully at this proposal, but felt it was not suitable for the Angus Buchanan, as it would have required a large part of a field to become a contoured dirt track, fenced off and probably floodlit. Angus Buchanan doubted the level of demand for this major project.

3: Skate park. Angus Buchanan had a meeting with the proposers of this project, and asked them to come back with costed proposals for the facility including a plan to deal with the safety, security, financial and other aspects. Angus Buchanan promised to support them in finding a suitable location in Coleford but they never came back.

Here we go again, another EGM us requested, perhaps by the same person who wanted an earlier EGM relating to the committee of the Trust.

I'm surprised an action group hasn't been formed. There was one I believe, it was called Coleford Rec Action Group. What happened to this ineffectual group? Does anyone care?

So stop spouting of things which, in my view, have no veracity.
