THE Buchanan Recreation Ground speaks for itself: a public place where people of all groups can go and enjoy their interests and sports.

These public places are overseen by trustees with a guiding constitution, usually with reference to the Charity Commission.

There is an annual general meeting on Thursday, April 25 at 7.30pm in the Baptist Hall, Coleford.

Reports of yearly business will be presented, and there will be consideration of new or extra trustees to be elected and election of officers as per the constitution.

My purpose in writing is the hope that commonsense and a charitable attitude will prevail otherwise the need for the Buchanan Recreation Ground could sadly be lost.
