A BURLESQUE artist has landed her second major title this year.

Natalie Morgan-Dew, who runs the Mizz Twisted Cherry Studios in Ross-on-Wye, took pole position at the Infinitease Grand Final in London. Victory from a 13-strong final field last month following triumph at the North Wales Burlesque Festival.

“The Infinitease competition was fierce and I still can’t believe I won. It’s a year-long competition.

“I won my heat back in November followed by my semi in March and now have been crowned grand final winner. I am still in shock that out of just over 100 performers I have won.

“As the owner of the aerial and alternative dance studio Mizz Twisted Cherry Studios, I feel this success really aids in getting more people to try our burlesque classes as they can see the stigma attached to burlesque is untrue and old fashioned.

“My performances are always so theatrical, from my costumes and wigs to having a narrative, as well as chair acrobatics and lip syncing.”

“On our current course, we are doing a Great Gatsby theme, with Charleston influences,” added Natalie, who has taught burlesque for 10 years.
