The launch of the book 'Tell them of Us' by Ian Hendy, about men from the Forest of Dean who served in the 1942-1945 Burma Campaign took place at the West Dean Centre, Bream. The book tells the story of the exploits and suffering of members of the Forest of Dean Burma Star Association who served in the campaign. The seated group are the only living members of the association. The book launch was followed by a short concert of wartime songs sung by Jan Bayliss and Douglas McLean – who also published the book – which was well received by an audience in fine voice as they joined in with gusto.
