LIKE many others I went to see the old buses at the ferry and I'm glad I did because I couldn't believe what I saw.
A double decker bus, yes a red and white white double decker like I worked on when I was a lad and
an apprentice coach-builder.
Memories came flooding back of the jobs I had done on this bus in my teens and later.
I only went for a quick 10 minutes – I was one of the last to leave.
Isn't it time there was some sort of memorial plaque in Albion Square where red and white had their canteen and waiting room and where you would wait for the bus.
The buses were rarely late in those days.
