LITTLE Chloe Thomas, aged three, is her family's heroine this week after using a mobile telephone to alert a relative following her mother's collapse at home.

Chloe's prompt action enabled an ambulance crew to race to Mrs Lisa Thomas's home at Forest Road, Bream.

On Monday Mrs Thomas was recovering at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and undergoing tests.

Chloe used her mother's mobile telephone to alert her Auntie Kelly.

"She told Kelly her mummy was asleep and she could not wake her up. Then she said her mummy was on the floor and with that the alarm was raised," explained Sharon Pensom, of Parkend.

By the time family members and the ambulance crew arrived, Chloe had dressed herself and her two year-old sister Holly. Her father, Mr Michael Thomas, had to be called from work.

"Chloe did really well. She is missing her mum but we are all very proud of what she did," said Sharon.
