By way of a change, this year I thought I might take a slightly different angle on our Christmas Lights ahead of the switch on.

What never ceases to amaze me is the dedication of the volunteers who turn out every year, irrespective of the conditions to ensure that we have a show to be proud of.

With this in mind, it is to be hoped that, as has happened in previous years, we will not see quite a few displays on certain premises left switched off. It must be very disheartening to those who help out to see their efforts left like this.

So, come on everyone, please show your support and appreciation by ensuring that the appropriate switch is in the ON position before locking up so we can look forward to seeing all the  lights at their best.
