Calling all Royal Forest of Dean College staff – past and

present, teachers, cleaners, managers, support staff

,everyone! 

RFDC is 25 years old this year and we want to

celebrate all those years of challenges, fun, successes,

failures, friendships, loyalty and our place at the heart of

the community in the Forest of Dean. 

Sadly RFDC in its present form is not destined to

reach 26 as it is merging with the larger Gloucestershire

College.  We have fought hard since incorporation in 1993

to remain independent but the vagaries of the funding

mechanism has finally made this impossible. Although it

is sad to lose our independence, the merger does mean

that the future provision of Further Education for our

young people and the whole com­munity is much more

secure.

So this is a celebration of 25 years of Royal Forest of

Dean College and all that it has meant to the people who

have worked there and helped to make it the great place it

is for both learners and staff.   The party is to be held at

Royal Forest of Dean College Five Acres' campus on the

January 29th starting at 7.30.

Band and food is provided and there will be a bar.
