JUDGES had a difficult time deciding on some of the winners at this year's 35th Newnham Show.
Despite bringing the event forward by a month, that didn't affect too severely the number of entries – which, this year, included more summer flowers and different fruit and vegetables.
The Armoury Village Hall was also filled with floral art, cookery, art and crafts, photography and children's classes.
Show organiser, Anna Fedden said: "The organisers would like to thank all the show sponsors, including all the winners who donated their prize money and everyone who gave their entries to the auction, all the judges, the ladies who provided the teas, Alan Curtis who was a great auctioneer, and all who came and supported the show. Around £330 was raised, and although the show is mainly held just as a community event, these funds are very welcome in helping to ensure its future."
It was a good show for Patty Swinley who won the whole show class with the most points, Armoury Hall Cup (vegetables), Fedden Cup (fruit), and Caulket Trophy (floral art). Kate Blinston won the Cross Cup in Photography and Rental Centre Cup.
