I CAN’T decide if Roger Horsfield’s letter was written out of ignorance or purposeful misinformation on his part, supporting the government’s propaganda that we need an all new Bill of Rights.

We do have a constitution. It developed over time and that is why it is not in one document as the American one was when they first declared independence from us.

They may have declared independence but they admired our constitution so much that they virtually copied it.

Then he states that the Queen has not done anything political. Really?.

When Edward Heath was blackmailed into pushing through the then so-called Common Market treaty, the Queen should have done as she is required to do by her oath before God and the British public, which she made at her Coronation, which was to refuse to sign it into law anything affecting our rights and sovereignty (control).

Why, it is against our common law and our constitution that no one is allowed to give away our sovereignty to another state unless we are defeated in war.

Many of our laws since then were against our constitution and there are more in the pipeline – see the extremism bill.

The common law of which our constitution is part is superior to statute law.

This has been shown at least twice this year by our Supreme Court.

The cases fought through the previous courts were cases involving statute law.

The Supreme Court judged that, while the statute stated a law, it was against the common law and therefore could and should be ignored.

Your government, all governments with the Queen’s connivance get laws passed that are against common law.

This is why the government, all governments, push out the propaganda that we have no constitution and we need a Bill of Rights.

At a local level I’ve proved the common law is superior to statute law because I will not pay Council Tax to the council until they comply with the law regarding planning.

They cannot chase me for the money because I will not consent and you all know that that we are policed by consent.

What you don’t know is how they trick you into giving that consent.

It gives me no great satisfaction not paying. I’m just doing it to make a point.

I’ve tried to get the Northern Quarter development, the Allaston development and the Sedbury development stopped by telling the protesters about the council’s illegal planning decisions but they have been so conditioned to obey the law that they do nothing.

Unfortunately they do not know the law and all their efforts and money spent is a waste of time.

They should hold a press conference and require the police to investigate.

The police just ignore me by stating: ‘we do not think it appropriate to prosecute.’

They tried silencing me by serving harassment notices on me but I immediately called their bluff by repeating the harassment knowing that if they took me to court they would expose the council’s crime.

Hey ho, apathy rules.
