May I through your pages offer congratulations to Chepstow School for the wonderful Food and Craft Festival held last Thursday.
Once again the school has excelled itself and a splendid afternoon and evening was presented for the benefit of the whole community.
There were displays and stalls from many local enterprises and many local food and drink producers; there was a cookery demonstration from masterchef, James Sommerin, from the Crown at Whitebrook and at Celtic Manor; there were food tastings, and a grand raffle. But the show was stolen by the two beautiful soft-coated big-eyed alpacas, in a pen, in the marquee!
This whole event was co-ordinated and orchestrated by Angela Jones and Helene Roche, learning coaches from the Bungalow Project. A very big 'thank you' to them and the Bungalow Project students for an amazing feat of organisation and a thoroughly enjoyable day!
– Cllr Marian Lewis, school governor.
