RECENTLY we have been advised that the green waste bin inside the churchyard at Mitchel­dean has been removed due to costs.

At our meeting on August 13, Mitcheldean Parish Council voted unanimously to pay the cost of the bins in both Mitcheldean and Abenhall churchyards at a cost of £52 a year.

So if we can get agreement with the church council and the vicar we will resolve this problem for all visitors to our two churches.

I do hope the people who use these bins use them in the correct manner by removing the plastic wrappers from the waste and disposing of them properly.
