Two Rivers have said the money they are trying to get out of around 2000 homeowners in the Forest of Dean for 'maintenance' (previously referred to as grass-cutting) should have been taken by the Forest of Dean District Council at the time of the original conveyance, suggesting their argument is with the Forest of Dean District Council if they feel they have not done their job properly.

Two Rivers have also said that it is important that the cost of the services be fairly shared between those who benefit from them. Well, everyone benefits from the green areas in our towns and villages and everyone pays taxes to the council in respect of those benefits.

So, given that (1) the council already collects money from us for maintaining the green areas, and (2) apparently is responsible for the current situation, am I the only one who thinks Two Rivers might have a stronger case if they send their bills for grass-cutting to the Forest of Dean District Council?
