INSTEAD of walking round housing estates admiring the gardens and making sure there is no litter, I would like Two Rivers Housing to appoint an inspector to check damp courses inside and out and to see the mould and mildew growing profusely but ignored by all.

Some of these bungalows were built with a 10 year life span but are now outdated by 50 years.

Old people do not dare to complain. I know, I have talked to them. They have been allocated the dregs of housing, boiling hot in summer and ice cold in winter.

These elderly people, born before and during the Second World War, say nothing, but suffer in silence.

I have spent some time in the Royal Forest of Dean and they should respect the elderly more than they do. These days people of all ages are struggling but none more so than elderly people I have visited.

Some have dampness trickling down their walls, carpets that squash under their feet and mildew on their clothes. These bungalow belong to Two Rivers
