A MAN whose Littledean garden flooded and turned into a marsh every time it rained is 'pleased as punch' after his problem was fixed by local builder Keith Bell.

Two Rivers housing tenant David Perrott highlighted his problems in the Review just before Christmas, claiming the housing association was ignoring his pleas for help.

And while he was waiting for something to be done Mr Perrott also injured his leg on his garden path.

"But now Keith has fixed my garden it's marvellous – he's done a wonderful job," said Mr Perrott, whose sheltered bungalow is near Littledean Jail.

Two Rivers say the delays in treating Mr Perrott's garden were cased by complications with adjacent properties.

Gary Thrussell, Neighbourhood Repairs Manager, said: "We have been working closely with Mr Perrott, our contractor and other agencies in line with our policies and procedures to try and resolve this issue as a matter of priority.

"It has taken longer than we anticipated to find a solution and for that I would like to apologise to Mr Perrott. We are pleased that this situation has now been resolved to the satisfaction of our tenant."
