FIRST Cinderford Cub Scout leader Dawn Phelps has completed a huge round of tasks to gain the Queen's Scout Award.
This is the highest award that can be achieved by young people aged between 16 and 25 in the Scout movement.
To gain it she had to complete seven challenging sections which include physical recreation, learning a a skill, providing a Service, a four-day expedition, a five-day residential project, and a International and an environmental project.
Each participant must also complete at least 18 nights away (12 of which must be camping) as either an Explorer Scout or a member of Scout Network.
"I will be attending a local presentation to receive my certificate and badge, and will then have the opportunity to participate in the annual St George's Day Parade at Windsor Castle later in the year," said Dawn.
