THE Forge Brook at the Butts playing field attracted a great crowd at the annual Blakeney Duck Race and Fete.

There were 20 races – with all the rubber ducks sponsored by local businesses – and around 550 rubber ducks were released in the duck national.

The top three winners were Zena Beddis, Chris Johnson and Robert Bridge.

Vice-chairman of the event, Glynn Bullock said: “The weather was very kind for us during the day bringing out lots of families and visitors from near and far.

“I cannot give you a definitive total raised. However it should be around the £4,000 mark, which helps local community causes such as the youth club, football club and the village hall.

“There were plenty of attractions on offer including roundabouts, slides, ducking stool, mini golf, face painting, coconut shy, welly wanging, bucking bronco, barbecue, ‘skittling for a salmon’ and many local stalls.”
