I WAS appalled and disappointed at some of the abuse directed by some of the pro-Brexit leaders at President Obama after he made his views public on how the UK should vote in the forthcoming referendum.
As the United States bailed Europe out in two world wars in the last century and remembering the thousands of US soldiers buried in Europe, surely the US President has the right to voice his sincerely-held views on what he believes is in Europe’s best interests without all this abuse?
Of course, everybody is free to make their own choice in the coming referendum, but it is not reasonable to attempt to stifle the sincerely-held views of the US President.
That just smacks of desperation.
