LYDNEY Dial-A-Ride is calling on the community to vote for them to win £300 towards funding four Christmas light switch-on runs.

Marketing assistant Sarah Dovey entered the community transport charity into the Galaxy Hot Chocolate fund, which is allocating five prizes of £300 each week until February.

She said: “We are hoping to secure one in the next few weeks to get the runs in hopefully the week or two before Christmas. If we can’t secure it before the Christmas break, if they let us, we will keep it for the following year to run them.

“These lights runs are loved by our passengers to get them in the mood for Christmas and to see the sights in the local area, and we would love to win it to give back to them.”
