FOREST MP Diana Organ has obtained an assurance that smaller schools will be able to club together to apply for free Dome tickets for pupils.

"I was very concerned that the initial announcement that a million free tickets would be allocated to schools stated that they would need to apply for a minimum of 100 tickets," she said.

She wrote to the minister concerned stating that this ruling would have eliminated many small rural schools before they had even applied.

"I am delighted that the minister agreed to my suggestion that they should get together in a consortium to apply for free tickets," she said.

She added: "I do hope that many schools in the Forest of Dean will take advantage of this opportunity to visit the Dome."
