RESIDENTS need to return their electoral registration form by Monday, October 23, if they want to vote in future elections.
Reminders have been sent out to people living in the Forest of Dean who are yet to return their household enquiry forms asking them to check and update information for the electoral register for their address.
The Forest council is asking residents to make sure they respond as soon as possible to ensure they don’t miss the deadline.
The form ensures that it can keep the electoral register up to date and identify any residents who are not registered so that they can be encouraged to do so.
Claire Hughes, electoral registration officer at the Forest council, said: “Even if the information of the form is correct it’s important that residents respond as soon as possible, so we can make sure we have the right details on the electoral register for every address in the district. If you’re not currently registered, your name will not appear on the form.”
You can respond via phone, internet, text message or post. Details on how to respond are printed on the form. People who have moved address recently are particularly encouraged to keep an eye out for the form and check the details.
Any residents who have any questions can contact their registration team at the Forest Council by phoning 01594 812638 or emailing [email protected]
