FOREST Fitness Centre powerlifters Alan Kibble and Neil Hodges have won gold and silver medals in the Welsh Special Powerlifting Championships.
Alan was competing in only his second major competition and took on a string of experienced lifters. He did well to take the silver medal and then snatch the gold for the best bench press.
Neil, already a British champion, moved up a weight and had to compete against bigger and stronger lifters. However, he performed superbly, producing personal bests in three events. He went on to take the silver medal and, like Alan, the gold for the best bench press.
Both men are now training hard to take part in the British Championships being held at Leeds next month.
