THE main road between Caldicot and Rogiet was closed for more than two hours last Thursday (June 5) after a three vehicle collision.

A Mercedes, a Volkswagen and a Renault were involved in the collision on the B4245 Caldicot Road at about 7.30pm.

The driver of the Volkswagen, a 35-year local man, was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport and was later reported to be stable.

The road reopened at around 9.45pm.
