I was called to help a friend who unfortunately had an accident in his car at Brierley on Friday, January 28 at around 8am. The car was unable to be driven following the incident, so I waited with him for the recovery services, alerting the oncoming traffic to the obstruction.

I would like to thank the householder who offered to push my friend's vehicle into a safer place, off the busy main road and onto their drive.

It's a shame the same consideration wasn't given by the selfish driver of a Land Rover, who, as my car was parked on the track, tore up the steep bank alongside spraying both our vehicles with stones and debris.

Instead of showing off and making matters worse, surely it would have been better to simply ask me to move my car so they could get by. It didn't take much to see that we were dealing with an accident.
