MY family and I are organising our third annual Easter Egg Hunt at Sheppard House in Newent.
The fun-filled family morning helps to raise funds for Newent Association for the Disabled who help young and elderly disabled people throughout Newent and the Forest of Dean.
As many as 50 children under 12 years old have had a great time dashing around the grounds of Sheppard House trying to find as many as 300 eggs – all of which they get to keep!
While the children are kept busy there are refreshment for the parents and a grand prize draw with hundreds of pounds worth of prizes to be won.
The event starts at 10.30am on Saturday, April 23 so please feel free to come along and join the fun.
For more information regarding Newent Association for the Disabled please contact Lyn Mayo on 01531 821227.
I must conclude with heartfelt thanks to all the local businesses and people who have contributed the prizes for the draw and the eggs for hunting.
Many thanks.
– Mrs Anne Cole, Joys Green, Lydbrook.
