WHEN a clutch of mystery giant eggs appeared in the playground of Tutshill Primary School it took all the detective skills of pupils to work out what they were.
The eggs were first discovered by school caretaker, Eddie Wise, who called in the police (who taped off the scene), the press and the pupils to investigate the unidentified oblong objects.
Headteacher, Mr Richard Phillips, said it was all part of a 'writing for real' exercise.
"As far as the children are concerned this is a real event and each class has responded to that experience. For example, at the top of the school they've written media reports. What we've tried to do is apply the skills they've got to a 'real' situation."
