I WOULD like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in making the Cinderford West Town Council election such a close run thing.

As I watched the count taking place I was very gratified by the support from the electorate in our area as the Labour dominance has been so strong for many years.

I believe that the result shows how people in this day and age really want a change in the way we manage issues in our local area.

May I take the opportunity to congratulate the new Labour town councillor Mr Knight and wish him well in his term as a town council member?

In addition may I thank all those who voted for me and also the many people that helped with my campaign?

Finally I would like to thank all the Forest of Dean Council staff for their efforts in making the count run so smoothly and efficiently. Their efforts were greatly appreciated.
