SO Beales Cinderford has closed and gone, and we are left with yet another empty shop. Does the Co-op have any plans for this shop? Perhaps they could let us know if they do.
If not, suggestion: indoor market, to start with say Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
I can't believe there is not a wealth of cottage industries in the Forest of Dean, all too eager to sell their wares to us, but if we don't know you are out their how can we support you?
Anything, local art and craft, homemade food of any type, locally grown produce and plants.
I am sure there are many more options out there than I can think of: variety is of the essence.
Consider an indoor car boot sale, bring your tables, pay a small fee for the running cost of using the facility, and bring life to that empty space in Cinderford town centre.
Come December I am sure most people will be charmed with the inevitable arrival of the "German Christmas market" so why not have our own local market?
Of course this is all dependant on the co-operation of the Co-op, but as local people have supported the Co-op for so many years, and if there is no imminent development plans for this unit, then I can't believe the Co-op would not wish to help in any way possible?
