USING my btinternet e-mail address I contacted Two Rivers on November 12 regarding an anti-social issue. On the very same day Two Rivers acknowledged the e-mail using my btinternet e-mail address.
Subsequently I heard nothing, the anti-social issue continued to escalate and in annoyance I wrote to the press (Review December 13).
Two Rivers now state (Review December 20) that they responded to me stating "just two days later, bringing him up-to-date with our progress and action taken "
Who knows, perhaps they did try and contact me. However not, for whatever reason, by using the original e-mail address that I had contacted them via but by sending an e-mail to my gloucestershire.gov.uk e-mail address.
I now have a "proper" Royal Mail letter from Two Rivers stating that the e-mail that they sent to me was encrypted and that the gloucestershire. gov.uk system could not cope with it and therefore was not delivered.
Funnily enough Two Rivers did not mention this in their letter to the Review I sincerely hope that the issue is now being correctly addressed.
For future reference I do not wish to have to borrow the Enigma de-coding device from Bletchley Park in any future contact with Two Rivers.
Incidentally, I stopped believing in fairies at the bottom of the garden years ago.
